It has been a year and a half and I still love it every time I look at it. You do not need to spend hundreds to make your room look nice.Industrial looks and a sturdy frame.** Update after my initial review **I had problems with my shelf - you can read the review down below, however, I was immediately contacted by their customer service to make the situation right. Despite the minor difficulties I had with my shelf, the customer service truly made me feel like I mattered as a customer, and I applaud them for that. Don’t hesitate to purchase this shelf and work with this seller - truly one of the best experiences I’ve had shopping on Amazon.**initial review**First off, the metal frame pieces on the sides (they come in 4 separate pieces and you combine 2 to make one side) did not line up right. I had to hammer one of the pieces into shape in order for it to fit together with the other piece - but that’s fine, it was an easy fix that I could look past. However, when another issue came up, I felt I needed to share for others. The X brace in the back attaches with predrilled holes through the metal frame pieces. One of the predrilled holes was around an inch off (see first picture). There was no way the X brace would’ve fit with the predrilled holes in the frame. To remedy this situation, I had to drill another hole. It wasn’t a huge issue for me, but to people that don’t have access to tools or don’t want to truly “build” furniture, this could be a deal breaker.Overall, the shelf is fine. It looks like it may be a bit crooked, but it has adjustable feet that I think I can use to adjust it. This should’ve been an easy assembly, but with the quality control issues I had with my pieces, it turned into a somewhat lengthy processEven though the instructions leave some important assembly details out, the shelving unit is easy to assemble when you think a bit ahead. What the instructions fail to mention is 1: make sure the hole in each of the four uprights / frame is on the same side ( what will be the back ) so that you can install the cross braces which takes one screw at each end of the two cross braces ( 4 screws total ). 2: the top shelf ( labeled E ) has one small pilot hole predrilled under the bottom side which is to install a wall bracket for stability and safety. You just need to make sure the predrilled hole is also on what will be the back side of the unit like the cross braces are so you can easily install the wall bracket. I installed the top shelf (E) backwards, with the pilot hole on the front side instead of the back, so i had to remove the shelf, flip it around and rebolt it down. Not a big deal but between that and the fact that the instructions also fail to mention the cross brace holes all need to be on the same side ( the back ) can make it a pain to tear it down completely just to reassemble it should you not be thinking ahead about those two issues. The shelf was packed very well with lots of foam ( not those annoying peanuts either ) and it arrived in great condition. The shelves themselves look great. Love them. I would buy again without hesitation. I already have two units. I highly recommend if you want a strong, great looking shleving unit that is easy to assemle ( keeping the two issues i mentioned above in mind ).This shelf is the perfect size for what I needed. But the 8 very critical "G" screws did not fit, too big. They screwed in just a fraction, whether I used a manual screwdriver or an electric one. I scraped together my own screws that I hope will stay in since they are loose. And yes, just like the others, I put one out of four of the side pieces with the hole facing the wrong way so I cannot attach the back cross bar. I swore I would not make the same mistake as the other reviewers but I did. Like the others, I had a hard time making those side pieces join together so when I kept switching them and when I got them to fit, I left them. The surface of the side pieces scratches very easily so I would not have taken a hammer to them. And of course I was also focused on the wrong sized screws. All they need to do is label those 4 parts "back" to avoid everyone making this mistake. This piece will be decent storage. But clearly there is still work to be done to get it right.Great medium sized bookshelf. Easy to assemble with clear instructions. The shelves are not solid wood but that was disclosed in the description so I did not expect it. It was important to me these could stand beside other furniture that IS solid wood and not look cheap. Mission successful! I love the clean lines. Note, these shelves are deeper than most and this does provide a sturdier footprint BUT if you have little ones or animals that climb or knock into things, you will want to use the wall attachment that is included. Pay attention to the shelves as only one has a hole that is to be placed facing the back to secure the anchor. Other important points: package arrived undamaged. Everything was well packaged inside with layers of protection between shelves and the metal structure; styrofoam pieces too to ensure the ends and sides were not damaged. I bought two to flank our entertainment center. I would recommend these bookshelves!Bought this for a display shelf to put in my salons lobby. Looks good, holds my products, easy to put together, and no problems. This shelf looks great next to the TV and has plenty of space to place my consoles along with all my games neatly on it.Assembly was fairly easy and straightforward, and took approximately 25 minutes. Be mindful of the frame as it does matter how the pieces fit together and is not well documented in the assembly instructions. There are two sets of holes for the "X" brace on the back that need to match up with the top and bottom parts of the frame otherwise you'll have to disassemble and reassemble the bottom half. The shelf feels sturdy and doesn't wobble too much. The feet can unscrew to help stabilize it, and it comes with an anti-tipping anchor kit to secure it to the wall. That being said, you'd have to pull pretty deliberately to make it fall over.
